Ep. 1120 – From Surviving a Missile Strike to Meeting Saddam Hussein with Amjad Tadros (@amtadros)

“Our job is not to make the audience believe in one thing or another. In fact, the worst kind of story you do as a journalist is a story that you make to prove a point. And that's not a good idea. Our job is just to report the truth.” – Amjad Tadros

Today’s featured author is a former CBS News/60 Minutes producer, four-time Emmy Award-winning investigative journalist, and media entrepreneur, Amjad M. Tadros. Amjad and I had a chat about his book, “The Fixer: A Journalist’s Accidental Journey Through the Middle East”, the risks journalists face covering conflict, why he interviewed Osama bin Laden’s former bodyguard, becoming a date farmer, and more!
